ISKO’s sports activities are open to all individuals (athletes, coaches and referees) who are members of national federations which are recognised by the national Olympic Committees.
ISKO’s health and safety practices and policies are consistent with WKF rules and regulations. ISKO also recognises that the European Union rules and regulations on care, protection and welfare of children are paramount and that all children have the right to be protected from all types of harm. This includes a duty to protect children from harm or risk of harm as a result of misconduct by any ISKO member.
ISKO recognises DAN grade certificates directly certified by those national federations, World Karate Federation and heads of Japanese Karate schools.
ISKO is committed to encouraging equality and diversity and to recognising equal rights and eliminating unlawful discrimination [(including on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation)] in the sport of karate.
Women should feel free to cover according to their personal or religious beliefs and as per WKF requirements.
